Mosaic Artist, Designer, Creator, Beautifier, Maker
I am an artist who lives in the San Francisco-Bay Area and have been creating mosaic art since 2007. I love designing pieces that uplift, have flow and inspire joy. I have been attracted to glass art since I was little and particularly love the way in which stained glass plays with the light in mosaic projects. I am inspired by nature, sunlight and water, and my artwork often reflects those elements.
I also enjoy beautifying both indoor and outdoor spaces. I have transformed spaces with my own personal brand of interior design and landscape motif, which includes homes, offices, and yards.
My childhood included learning to sew at age 5 and loads of crafting and creating. I have designed my own patterns to create unique, one-of-a-kind looks. I love engaging in unique DIY projects in fashion and around the home.
Growing up, I was strongly influenced by my mother, a professional seamstress and master craftswoman. Additionally, I was mentored by my Uncle Howard Sparber, a professional artist and cartoonist whose work was in the NY MOMA. Throughout my childhood, Uncle Howard took me to museums in NYC to educate me and encouraged my creativity until the day he died.
I have been commissioned for several mosaic pieces now displayed in homes throughout the Bay Area. My most recent creation is called Miracle Manifestation Mirrors, custom-made with colors and words to uplift people when looking at themselves in the mirror and remind them of the greatness and beauty within.
In 2022, The Back 40 Art Collective was co-created with several artist, maker friends from the San Francisco-Bay Area. We are a group of artists, with diverse mediums, who have come together to curate events and support one another through our creative journey. I am also a member of the Arts of Point Richmond, a small and mighty artist community in Northern CA.
In addition to being a maker, I am a professional Program & Project Manager, a Certified Mindfulness Teacher, and an ordained minister. When not creating mosaics or beautifying spaces, I enjoy traveling, hiking, dancing, being a life-long learner, and spending time with my tribe, connecting. I am passionate about all things beautiful and creating a world that works for all.
